residents  of the
San Miguel Watershed
communities
have equitable access
  to
post-secondary education,
cultural enrichment,
and
professional training,
taught in the contexts of our unique
natural,  multicultural, and
economic environments,
and
for the purpose of sustaining
and
enriching those environments.

The University Centers of the San Miguel
is a non-profit higher education program incorporated in the State of Colorado and initially  supported by grants from
Mountain Village Owners Association,
Town of Telluride, Town of Mountain Village
San Miguel County,
and Telluride Foundation. 
A Board of Directors is charged with
development of the Centers' programs.
